September | a seasonal declutter (10 things you can tidy up TODAY)

As summer gently fades into fall (even though Louisiana is still well into the triple digits for our temps), it's the perfect time to declutter our spaces, both physically and metaphorically. Just as the trees shed their leaves to make way for new growth, we too can clear out the old to welcome the fresh energy of a new season. Tidying up our homes, letting go of what's no longer needed, and making room for cozy touches not only prepares our spaces for the cooler months ahead but also refreshes our minds and hearts, allowing us to embrace the change with open arms and a sense of renewal.

Here are TEN things you can tidy up TODAY (like RIGHT NOW).
. . .and can do each of these in less than 10 minutes

01. Tackle your kitchen junk drawer(s).

02. Old cords and electronics, especially if you don’t even know what it goes to.

03. Left overs or food from your fridge or freezer.

04. While you’re in the kitchen, take care of your pantry too.

05. Empty all the trash cans around your home!

06. Get rid of worn out shoes and socks with holes in them-the ones you put back every time!

07. Find your “dump zomes” and sort through that stack of mail

08. Clean out your bathroom cabinet. There’s probably a LOT you don’t really use.

09. Books you have already read, old magazines, etc.

10. Go make your bed!

As the fall season days grow shorter, take a moment to clear away the clutter, and in doing so, make space for the warmth and comfort that autumn will soon brings. It’s a simple yet meaningful way to honor the change in seasons, creating a home that feels ready to welcome all the chapters that make up this year.

xx,
Hope
