byHopeatHome is the brainchild of Hope Johnson, a Fine Art graduate from Louisiana State University with a deep-rooted passion for interior design and a keen eye for pattern play. The business began with a focus on wallpaper before expanding into textiles, showcasing Hope's dedication to transforming spaces into cozy, inviting homes. Each product, from wallpaper and textiles to pillows and art prints, reflects her background in analog printmaking techniques such as letterpress printing, silkscreen, intaglio/lithography, and block printing.

byHopeatHome places a significant emphasis on creating patterns that bring texture, harmony, and comfort to any space, appealing to anyone’s inner-homebody. With a philosophy grounded in the power of your surrounding space’s ability to influence your well-being and mood, Hope curates collections that offer both sophistication and warmth.

The online storefront serves to ship samples directly to you and your moodboard, as well as made-to-order yardage orders. In addition, Hope enjoys sharing her insights on making a house a home and blending personal anecdotes with practical interior styling tips. Furthermore, byHopeatHome extends an invitation to trade professionals, fostering long-term collaborations with interior designers, architects, showrooms, and distributors through its Trade Team program.

Let’s get personal.

I was raised in the 90s and I’ve been frolicking in the world of the home since I began rearranging my bedroom around the age of six.

Fast forward a bit.

Leaving the nest of my childhood room, I now live in a 1940s cottage in the heart of Baton Rouge’s Mid-City. I grew up in the world of residential design and construction. I speak the lingo of how interior design and construction are in a tango dance together and adore the marriage of the two.

With a love for interior design and a degree in fine art, I combined my education with my love for the home and designed a line of wallpapers and textiles you see here.

I graduated in Printmaking from Louisiana State University, focusing my studies on letterpress printing, silkscreen, intaglio/lithography, and block printing - techniques that greatly influence my work.

When I’m not in my studio, I’m probably cleaning up spilled milk, wrangling one of my three kiddos, or wishing it was March weather all year round.

Welcome aboard, friend.

…and once a month, I send one big hello to your inbox.

That hello comes on the first Monday of the new month and is filled with what’s going on behind the scenes, what’s coming, and any cool new finds, reads, or good things (and maybe something from the “funny things my kids say” files).

Join below to catch the next hello!
