Holiday Gift Guide - 2022

IT’S NOVEMBER!!! Today in Louisiana, the high is 80 degrees. …not far fetched for November. I don’t know why I always talk about the weather. I just find it fascinating that the world’s weather just does its thing. We might have a rain and find ourselves in 30 degree weather in a week …because why can’t the weather have mood swings too? Even with the higher temps though, I’m itching for the holidays and the symbolic end of a season and beginning of a new year. The hustle and bustle is about to begin - I’m here for it!

When I gift, I try to shop local and small and support fellow artists. So I’ve rounded up a handful of my favorite online shops as we start to lean into the holiday cheer. Below, you’ll see my top ten favorite shops to collect from as I’m buying for the special people in my life - from kiddos and family to teacher and work gifts. Okay actually it’s eleven, but “top eleven” sounds weird.

I hope you find something you love for someone you love!

01. GINGERBER

Stacey Bloomfield, the artist and owner of the Gingerber brand is a dear friend of mine who runs an incredible line of products all created from her hand-drawn art. ….and I’m snatching these stickers (among other things) for stocking stuffers.

02. COLEY KUYPER ART

Coley Kuyper - designer and mama of seven - has a beautiful line of stationery and home goods that are just feel good products. Coley and her work are both an inspiration.

03. KRISTEN CRONIC ART

You’ve probably heard me talk or write about Kristen, another dear friend of mine. She’s an incredible oil painter from Jacksonville, Florida, mother of three, and lover of trees. …from original one-of-a-kind paintings to prints and more, check her out.

04. MINI MOON CHILD

Mini Moon Child is the sweetest Etsy shop for children’s play attire. If you’ve got little ones with big imagination to gift this year, check out this shop.

05. SAINT SIGNORA

I once bought a set of vintage papers from this sweet shop …just because it was handwritten in French. Saint Signora is a blend of antique and found objects and just a joy of a time hunting around the site. Hop here if you’ve got antique lovers in your life.

06. THE HONEYSUCKLE SHOP

Shelby Goodman, avid thrifter, designed the “good things come to those who thrift” bag for her Esty shop. She also hosts Instagram pop-ups from her own thrifted finds. Snatch up this bag for the thrifters in your life and check her Shelby’s pop-ups on IG.

07. MIMOSA HANDCRAFTED

Local to Louisiana (hey, home state), Madeline is the artist and jewelry designer behind her brand Mimosa Handcrafted. Her line of jewelry is an ode to our southern state and a reminder of intention and connection.

08. ATWATER DESIGNS

Like all the artists here, Sarah, friend of mine, is the artists behind Atwater Designs. Atwater is a line of one-of-a kind cyanotypes …using the nature that surrounds Sarah. From originals to prints to homegoods, check her out.

09. EAST FORK

East Fork, this small but mighty brand of handmade pottery products is to die for. I’ve been a fan of East Fork for quite some time and have collected their signature mug you see here (one for coffee and one for paint water). If you’ve got any pottery lovers in your life, check out East Fork for sure.

10. SILK & WILLOW

If you’ve got a person in your life that loves linens and organic stationery, be sure to explore Silk & Willow. Their handmade cottons papers are great for any watercolor artists, calligraphers, or the person like me who just loves the texture of anything handmade …or cotton …or linen …or silk.

BONUS: SwoocGames

Top 11 sounded weird. So here’s a bonus Etsy Shop that’s got the coolest outdoor games for the family. I love a good porch party - anything to get my crew out from behind screens and in the fresh air. These are great for kids, sure, but my sister is getting this connect four game this year and she’s in her thirties! There’s no age limit to fun - bonus that it’s made for the outdoors.

There’s my top 10 (or really 11)! I’m not an affiliate for these companies or brands listed in this post, simply a customer and fan. I hope you find something you love for someone you love. XO
