August | summer seasons (a view from home)
As we gently transition from summer to fall, I want to take a moment to reflect on the past few months and extend my heartfelt wishes for your journey ahead. My hope is that this summer has been a season of growth and prosperity for you, even if it felt much like the rest of the year. For me, summer is always a chance for ideas and dreams to flourish under the warmth of longer days and brighter skies. Even if the summer months seemed to blend into the routine, know that every season holds the potential for transformation.
I wish you joy and contentment in this transition out of summer seasons and into the next one. For those sending kiddos off to school, may this new academic year be filled with new adventures and accomplishments. And for those embarking on other significant changes—whether it’s a new job, a big move, or a fresh start—may the shift in seasons bring you renewed energy and optimism.
For me, this summer has been all about settling. If you’ve been around, you know my family and I moved in the spring. I can’t wait to show you the paint colors I’ve chosen, which are already beginning to bring fresh life and energy into each room. I’ve been busy styling shelves and hanging cherished college walls—a combination of photos and fingerpaintings from the kids over the years. I’ve been stretching my own use of pattern play with my love for neutrals and, of course, hung some wallpaper!
My brain tends to jump from one project to another before the first one is fully complete. So, while I’m still knee-deep in this home transformation, my mind is already buzzing with ideas for the next steps. My hope is that everything will come together beautifully soon enough, and I can’t wait to share the finished results with you.
Stay tuned for more updates as my new home takes shape—for now, enjoy these very candid moments. We’ve got a sunroom turned art room/office, a secondary living room that’s all about the sports and pop art floor-to-ceiling print collection, and a sweet little entryway—all works in progress. I’m sharing my mood board for the dining space (where the Roadside Picks in Dusty Charcoal is going) along with some sweet little corners and moments with my little family.
Thanks for joining me on this exciting journey—I’m looking forward to sharing it all with you! 🌟🏡
xx,
Hope
